I am a post-doctoral researcher at USC Imaging Genetics Center. It is one of the largest brain-imaging labs in the world, conducting very large studies on brain related disease. I received my bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Karnataka in the year 2007. It is regarded as one of the best engineering institutes across the country. The same year I qualified for the Graduate Aptitude test in Engineering (GATE, 2007) with a 98.9 percentile and a rank of 206 among 19156 competing candidates across the country. I worked as a research assistant in Center for Robotics and Mechatronics at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur for a year. In the following years I pursued my masters in mechanical engineering at Vanderbilt University. During these years, I found myself more interested in biology and inverse problems. So, I did another masters in computational biology from University of Nice, France. I also won the scholarship to pursue my PhD studies at INRIA, France (the French national Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation). I completed my PhD with honors in March 2015. Since July 2015 I am working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Imaging Genetics Center at University of Southern California.

Hervé is Associate Professor at ETS Montreal, Canada and Affiliated Research Scientist at Inria, France - His research interests are in Statistics on Shapes, Data & Medical Images. He had the chance to work in multiple centers, including Microsoft Research (Cambridge, UK), Siemens Corporate Research (Princeton, NJ), Inria Sophia-Antipolis (France), McGill University (Canada), and Polytechnique Montreal (Canada). He is also a recipient of the François Erbsmann Prize, a top prize in Medical Image Analysis, earned a Best Thesis Award at Polytechnique Montreal, as well as several other prizes and fellowships - Hervé co-organized several workshops and special sessions in major international conferences, including NIPS and ICML, on Medical Image Analysis.
