Keynote Presentation IV: Nayat Sanchez-Pi

Nayat Sánchez-Pi has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Havana and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the Carlos III University of Madrid for which she obtained an Extraordinary PhD Award. Her research interests range from artificial intelligence, machine learning, internet of things, ambient intelligence, and human-computer interaction, and her scientific career is distinguished by extensive international experience and a focus on applied research. She has extensive experience leading interdisciplinary R&D teams with industrial and academic partners focused on solving real world problems generating high social, economic, ecological and technological impact. Her career is distinguished by her international experience developing research and innovation in digital sciences and technologies in countries such as Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Brazil, France, Chile. She has been distinguished by several awards and has several publications in international conferences and journals of high scientific and technological impact. Since 2018, she has leads and coordinates the Inria Research Center in Chile, and in the same year she was also appointed as CEO of the Inria Chile Foundation by its Board of Directors, since then leading the International Center of Excellence CIRIC (Communication and Information Research and Innovation Center).
