Abstract

This presentation examines the pressing challenge of reducing carbon emissions within the built environment. It uses case studies to illustrate how artificial intelligence and machine learning can support the discovery of innovative materials. The discussion also addresses the current limitations of AI in materials design, especially when considering the broader context of scaling new technologies, and underscores the importance of advancing other AI-driven approaches to achieve meaningful impact.
