AI-Native Academia: Authorship, Peer Review, and Conference Governance under AI
Manuel Radons ⋅ Lars Simon
Abstract
AuthorshipLens is a modular framework for integrating AI-text detectors into everyday workflows such as web browsing, text editing, and document review. Its modularity spans both the application side, comprising UI adapters for in-context flagging, and the analysis side, comprising detectors and detector councils; all components are independently replaceable, connected through well-defined interfaces, and coordinated by a central engine. It further provides persistent analysis records for auditability and a two-layer access model comprising an intuitive user interface and an advanced interface complemented by a research API.
