From Physical to Social World Models for Human-Facing Robots
Phillip Kim ⋅ Jan Liphardt ⋅ Junghyun Kim
Abstract
World models let embodied agents consider possible futures before acting. We argue that robots operating around people need models that predict not only physical state transitions, but also uncertain human responses and socially consequential outcomes. We propose a discussion-led demo on grounding social rollouts in multimodal robot experience and using them to decide when to act, wait, or ask.
